Description of the problem | Under 15000 miles under city driving conditions. 2015 se trim. Brake light and "check brake system" message appreared on the center console. On the way to the dealership, brakes failed to work and i panicked and pumped more than once. Heard a "thud" noise and lo and behold the brake light and the message disappeared. Dealer confirmed that there was a maintainence code (with the scanner) and that they are replacing "brake booster". Vehicle still under warranty so luckily i dont have to pay anything. How is toyota able to get away without a recall of faulty brakes? How many folks will have to get hurt or die before an action is taken. |
