Description of the problem | When driving on a sunny day---or at night on a lighted thoroughfare---with the windows rolled up, the following occurs: the ac outlet on the driver's side, as well as the ac outlet on the front passenger side---both of these images (that is, the entire ac outlet, including the chrome bezel surrounding it) are reflected onto the driver & front passenger side windows---and then subsequently reflected onto the 2 outside mirrors. The result is that, when another auto is approaching on either the left or right side of your vehicle, then you will see the approaching car in the outside mirror, but superimposed over it will be the entire reflection of the ac outlets. Thus, it would appear that, when light enters the car & hits on the ac outlets, then the image is reflected onto the side windows, & then continues its reflection onto the outside mirrors. However, when the windows are rolled down, there is no reflection issue at all. In addition, all of the buttons & switches inside the car are coated with some sort of chemical, which makes them all light up at night in a blue tone; this makes it very easy to identify buttons/switches in the dark; however, some of the buttons also are reflected onto the side windows, & end up as well on the outside mirrors (in particular, the blind spot monitor, traction control, lane departure, & dynamic radar buttons, which are located on the dashboard just to the left of the steering wheel. My dealership tried their best to correct the above "design faults", but were unable to do so. I have 2 case #'s: one is with the dealership --#[xxx]; the other is with toyota corporate, #[xxx].
