Description of the problem | I purchased a toyota camry on 2/17/20. Two weeks later the srs airbag malfunction light started to illuminate and the rear seatbelt alarm continously sound off alerting me to fasten seatbelts when no one was sitting back there. I tried taking the vehicle back to the dealer i purchased it from to see what was going on but was told it had to be taken to toyota. After taking the vehicle to toyota, i found out the wiring harness had been torn and that it would cost me $4,900. 00 to fix the issue. I was also told if i was ever in an accident, the airbag more than likely wouldn't deploy. Since discovering this issue, i have not been driving the vvehicledue to the safety issue. |
