Description of the problemOn september 25, 2017 i had parked my car for about 4 hours on a very hot day (over 90 degrees farenheit) and i entered the car, turned on the air conditioning on full cool and began to drive. Approximately 5 minutes later, while driving on the highway, the passenger side front door window ":exploded" out sending glass outside the car into the lane next to me and onto the roadway. The noise of the explosion was very loud and startled me. The glass that remained around the edges of the broken window fell into the car in the passenger area but most had been blown out in the "explosion.". The glass that blew out scratched the car paint underneath and behind the door on the outside. I yakt extremely good care of my cars and the window, prior to the explosion, was completely intact with no damages or scratches on the window. Had anyone been next to me in another auto with the window open, or if i had been statioanary and a pedestrian was outside the window, i am certain they would have sustained injuries. While the force of the blast was outward, i beleive anyone in the passenger seat would have likewise sustained injury, certainly to the eyes as minute glass particles were blown about the car on the passenger side. In my opinion, the glass was either manufactured in a faulty manner that did not allow for the temperature variances or installed at manufacture of the vehicle in a manner the did not allow expansion and/or contraction of the glass caused by temperature variances.
