Description of the problem | I purchased the 2019 volkswagen jetta in december of 2018. The vehicle currently has roughly 50k miles. When the incident occurred it had 38k miles when i first noticed a weird smell coming from my air vents. I was currently driving on the highway when i noticed that smell, pulled over and opened the hood too the vehicle and noticed that the battery had exploded!! I right away contacted volkswagen customer care and notified them of the incident that had just occurred to me. They mentioned i had bumper too bumper warranty, so i took in the car too the dealership and had to pay out of pocket because they mentioned that the battery was no longer covered.
