Description of the problem | Fuel pump failed at 34,000 miles. Check engine light now on permanently. Independent state license diesel shop confirmed pump breaking down and releasing metal into the fuel system. Metal from pump has destroyed fuel injectors. Repairs estimated at $6. 069. Pump is covered by warranty, but dealer argues bad fuel caused the failure. Vw dealer states they took a sample of the fuel to a lab and had it tested... While the car was in the shop for the day. Dealer does not have a copy of lab report, which indicates they are lying. |
